Wiftvic is a membership based non-profit organisation made up of women who are either working in the industry in some capacity or wanting to work in the industry.
Our aim is to encourage and support women already working in the industry and to also assist more women get into the industry, in particular areas where women are under-represented.
These aims are achieved by:
providing networking opportunities for
women;
promoting equal opportunties in employment,
training and career advancement for women
in all aspects of the industry;
raising public awareness on issues associ
ated with the depiction of women on the
screen and encouraging greater diversity in
the portrayal of women;
political lobbying on issues of importance to
members;
increasing the visibility of women working in
the industry.
